YouMeWeBe... you may wonder where You are? You are always before me because you help me see me. When I can see you, I can begin to see me and together We begin to see each other. When we begin to see each other as fellow human beings, then We may begin to Be. Not afraid to be ourselves and not afraid of letting others be themselves.
When we recognise others in ourselves and thus ourselves in others we witness the uncertainty of discomfort or the discomfort of uncertainty, as universal. That discomfort manifests in a multitude of defenses, protection mechanisms; I like to call them our BS, Blocked Sensors. I like to imagine us humans as having invisible antennae - like sensors all over our body. They are fragile minute tubes and they tell us when we may get hurt... like whiskers on a horses muzzle. Sometimes it is easier to cut them off, not to feel anything... it may even look better that way, but then we sometimes lose awareness of our environment... and of others. Others point out our BS, those which prevents us from seeing things as they are. It can be painful to see things as they are, we would much prefer things to be as we would like or expect them to be. Others remind us by pushing our buttons and helping us unblock our antennae by bringing awarenss to the fact that we are blocked. I'd like to write about how others have helped point out my own BS, in the hopes that my stories may help you.
